Today David Olberding will discuss how to hit a shot from a sidehill uphill lie properly.  Another way to save strokes out there on the golf course!

There are three key factors to consider when hitting off a steep sidehill lie with the ball above your feet.

1. Grip the club shorter.  By having practice swings in an area offering the same conditions, you can feel how far you need to grip down.
2. Aim more to the right.  When the ball is above your feet, the tendency is to hook the ball.  The more the slope, the bigger the hook.  Aim as far right as you think the ball is going to hook.
3. Keep the swing smooth.  This is not a distance shot.  If you feel you have to swing hard, take more club and swing easier.  This will allow you to make solid contact.
