Today we discuss controlling the trajectory of your pitch shots around the green.  The secret is in controlling the lower thumb.  The position of the thumb will determine your trajectory!  Enjoy!

High Soft Stopper.

Take your Lob or sand wedge and take your normal address position with your normal grip.  Now swing back to about 8 o clock and swing through, trying to keep the lower hand's thumb under the grip as you come through.  The result should be a high soft shot. Make sure you fly this almost all the way to the flag.

Low soft runner.

Now do the same, but as you swing through, allow the lower hand's thumb to cross over to the top of the grip.  This will produce a lower, more running type f shot. Make sure you land the ball well short of the flag.  By changing the length of the backswing, you can vary the air-time of the shot.  Practice this for a deadly short game!
