How to play the shot that Lee Trevino describes as landing "like a butterfly with sore feet."

The first thing you have to pay attention to with this shot is the lie.  If the ball is sitting up in the grass, you have to really pay attention as you might hit the ball on the top of the clubface, and the ball will not travel the distance you want it to.  If the ball is sitting down, then play the ball a little further back in your stance to produce a slightly downward blow.  The backswing and follow-through length are the same as the previous shot, but the downward blow will get the ball up and over the bunker.  There will be a little more roll on this shot, so allow for that.

Spend some time on the range working on this shot.  It is a real stroke saver and will reduce your handicap in the long run.  Thanks for watching!
