The majority of golfers in the US play on public or semi-private golf courses.  The quality of the sand can be questionable at times.  Even in the course of a round, the sand can vary in texture.  How do you play bunker shots out of hard and soft sand, even in the same round!

The best way is to dig your feet into the sand the same way you see the PGA Tour players do every time they are in a bunker.  They are not digging their feet in for stability. They are feeling the texture of the sand.  I info they get back from that action helps them decide how to play the shot.

Don't worry,  Tour representatives of HopkinsGolf,  Wayne Levi, and Dan Pohl give us the secrets to playing out of different sand conditions!

When you land in a bunker, you shouldn’t always follow the same routine. Because sand can change depending on the course and weather, it’s important to understand how to get yourself out.   Here are some tips on taking advantage of the situation.
