Golf Video Blog by the Mel Sole Golf School.

In our Golf Video Blog series, we visit Piers Ward and Andy Proudman, two very special guest European superstar Darren Clark, to discuss the essential subject of course management.  Thanks to Meandmygolf for sharing!

Watch European Tour player Darren Clarke, Andy Proudmand and Piers Ward of  Meandmygolftv.  They talk about golf course management and strategy on how to play a golf hole that is a KK Downing design.  Wow, imagine a golf course designed by the lead guitarist of Judas Priest.  Just doesn't jive does it?

This is a great example of a good hole design that you can play more than one way.  You can take the water completly out of play, and hit it long.  There is plenty of room back there.  You can play to the "fat' part of the green and give yourself a higher percentge of hitting the green and at least having a putter in your hand for your next shot.  Or, take a club that will barely get over the water, but will leave you a short putt for birdie.  Darren Clarke decides on the latter!
