Continuing our theme of "wind and rain," Mel talks about putting in a strong wind.  And a lesson learned from the great Padraig Harrington.  Check it out!

Back in 2012, I took a group to Ireland.  We played at a golf course I absolutely love called The European Club. We played in a howling wind, and I took a page out of Padraig Harrington's book.  Starting with widening my stance considerably.  Crouching down over the ball and kept my putting stroke as compact as possible.  I putted extremely well that day and shot 76.  I regard that as one of the finest rounds of golf I have ever played.  No one else in my group that day broke 100!

The wide stance kept my body very stable.  The crouched posture kept my body low, and I was less susceptible to the body being moved around while I was putting.  The compact putting stroke did the same thing.

So the next time you play in the wind, try this great "wind" posture, and you might have your career round as well!
