Explosive Power - Fitness Friday #12.

Today Tyler Parsons, of  OnTour Golf, who clocked 211 mph clubhead speed, gives you 5 exercises to help your body gain more strength and flexibility to ultimately hit the ball further and straighter.

Golf Fitness Expert, Tyler Parsons, shows you 5 golf specific exercises to help you hit it further. Tyler used these exercises to increase his club speed from 120 to 211 in several months.

Side Extensions.

Using a Blue Fitness band, stnad with the band under both feet.  Hold the band in both hands.  Extend the leg out sideways as far as you can go. 5 to 10 times, 3 sets.

Lateral Bounce.

Standing with the knees slightly bent. jump as far as you can from side to side.  Do this as rapidly as you can as well.

Seated Squat Jump. 

With a bench or a chair, sit and then jump up as fast and as high as you can.  Sit down and repeat.  2 sets of 5.

Hanging Snatch. 

You will need a dumbell for this one.  Use a weight that you feel you can handle easily.  From a bending position, snatch the dumbell up over your head as fast as possible.  Use you lower bosy for leverage.

Twist and Thrust.  

Take about a 10 lb medicine ball, take you arms into a backswing position and then thrust the ball upwards and forwards towards what would be the target in the golf swing.  Use a wall if you don't have a partner.

These are 5 exercises that will produce explosive power in your golf swing!
