Today we discuss how to putt on fast greens.  In particular, downhill putts.  Hitting the ball off the center of the putter will make the ball come off the face too fast.  

By hitting the ball off the toe of the putter, the ball will come off the putter face a lot slower.  This will allow you to control the speed a whole lot better on fast downhill greens. Normally if you hit a normal putt of this length, the putter face will tend to twist.  And the ball will usually come up way short.  However, because the putt is being hit so softly, that twist will not happen.  You will be able to hit the putt online with a much softer roll and get the ball much closer to the hole.
