Today we discuss how important the feet and ankles are in the golf swing.  Like a boxer, you do, and your feet allow you to—no difference with the golf swing.  Check out today's video to see how your feet and ankles' correct use will help you hit the ball a lot better!

While swinging a club (without a ball), concentrate on keeping the weight on the inside of both feet, particularly the rear foot. At the top of the backswing, the weight should be on the inside of the back foot, and the rear knee should still be in the starting position.  The weight moves to the outside of the front foot on the downswing, specifically the front heel. The rear foot would finish with the toe touching the ground with absolutely no weight.  You should be able to pick up your rear foot and not lose your balance.

Having good footwork will improve the consistency in your game!
