I will discuss how to hit a dead straight shot.  They say the dead straight shot is the hardest to hit, but I don't think so!

Most of my previous students are familiar with the 9 o clock to 3 o clock shot.  I use it mainly in pitching.  But you can use that same shot with a less lofted club like a 6 iron or 5 iron.  This time, the ball stays low, but if you are doing the release down the line, the ball will go dead straight.  A handy shot to have when you have a narrow gap through the trees.

Work on this shot on the range and do it SLOWLY!  The slower you do the drill, the quicker your body will learn.  Do not progress to the next level until you can hit ten consecutive shots dead straight in the middle of the clubface.  Then progress to a 10 o clock to 2 o clock shot.  Finally, start hitting full shots.  This drill will even help your full shots to be more accurate!
