Controlling Pitch Distance - Technical Thursday #10

Controlling Pitch Distance - Technical Thursday #10.

Hi, I’m Mel Sole, Director of Instruction at the Mel Sole Golf School, headquartered at Pawleys Plantation Golf and Country Club in Pawleys Island, SC.  We conduct 1, 2, and 3-day golf schools, hourly golf lessons, and senior golf schools—any golf instruction program your heart desires. Give us a call at 800-624-4653 or 843-237-4993.  We will be happy to book a commuter school or a package that contains accommodations, golf, and golf school.

This is Technical Thursday.

In today's  Golf Video Blog, we talk about the technicalities of controlling your distances with your pitch shots.  By using a clock system and 4 wedges, I can create 11 different distances.  This will take your pitching to a whole new level.  And as I explain at the end of the video, your full swing will also improve!

This is my Pitching Chart.  Please create your own and use it to lower your scores.

Lob Wedge (60 degrees)

7 O Clock - 3o yards

8 O Clock - 40 yards

9 O Clock - 50 yards.

10 O Clock - 60 yards.
