Can you learn from Rory McIlroy's Workout?

Your body needs to be in good shape to play better golf—both from a strength and flexibility perspective.  Keeping the body in good shape also allows the body to perform the repetitive motions needed on the practice range without fear of injury.  Through the generosity of Nike Training, we get an inside look at Rory McIlroy's training routine.  These are fairly simple exercises that almost everyone can perform. (with maybe the box jump as an exception).  Because you will need to work out in a gym to access all this equipment, make sure you have a trainer go through the exercises to make sure your technique is correct.  Just like having a golf lesson!

The Routine.

Landmine Press.

4 on each side.  4 Sets.

Landmine press with rotation

4 on each side.  4 Sets.

Box Jumps.

4 Jumps.  4 Sets.

Medicine Ball with Rotation.

3 Per Side.  4 Sets.

Heavy Bag (120 lbs) Strongman flips.

4 over each shoulder.  2 Sets.

Speed Skipping (as long as you can hold it.)  3 Sets.

Rory McIlroy incorporates training off the course, improving his athleticism for a stronger game.  Can you learn from Rory McIlroy's Workout? I certainly hope so!
