The Top 20 tests in golf! I have only played 6 of the courses on this list, but I can tell you the hardest course I have ever played was Cougar Canyon in Trinidad, Colorado. Unfortunately, the course went under. Otherwise, it would definitely have belonged on this list. I had my best ball-striking round of my life at Kiawah about 2 weeks before the Ryder Cup was played there. I hit 17 greens in regulation and hit all 14 fairways. What a great experience! Spyglass Hill #4 on this list is another toughie I have played. It is truly a test of ball striking, short game, and a lot of patience.

"Where is the finesse on the Black? The shortest par 4 is the 2nd hole at 392 yards and uphill, playing closer to 410 yards. It's a big, brawny test."
"Without a doubt, the very hardest course I've ever played. It was not fun, and I have no desire to play it again."
