Hi, I’m Mel Sole, Director of Instruction at the Mel Sole Golf School, headquartered at Pawleys Plantation Golf and Country Club in Pawleys Island, SC.  We conduct 1, 2, and 3-day golf schools, hourly golf lessons, and senior golf schools—any golf instruction program your heart desires. Give us a call at 800-624-4653 or 843-237-4993.  We will be happy to book a commuter school or a package that contains accommodations, golf, and golf school.

Today's Guest is a trainer from OB Performance Club.  He does not mention his name in the video. Why I don't know, anyway, he does a great job of laying out the foundations of a Dynamic Balance Test.  Many people who follow my video blog know that I have had some health issues lately and will need a full shoulder replacement in early September.  This test is exactly where I will start once my rehab is over and attempt to get my golf game back into competitive shape. For those who would like to get your golf game back on track, good golf instruction from the Mel Sole Golf School and effective physical exercise is the first step.  This is a good place to start!

Place 3 yoga blocks in front of you.  One about 18" in front of your leg and two more on each side about 12" outside the lead block.  Stand on one leg, now lean forward, touch the front block and return to the upright position without touching down with the other foot.  Now touch the left block, come back to upright and then touch the right block.  All the while, do not ground the other foot.  One cycle earns you one point.

This is a 60-second test, so see how many pints you can earn in that time. Once you have done one round, repeat on the other side.
