How to Control Your Golf Swing Accuracy - Trouble Shot Tuesday #101.

David Olberding, an instructor at the Mel Sole Golf School, will help improve your golf swing accuracy! When you are on the golf course and spray it both left and right and don't know what is causing this problem, here is the answer. Not only will this drill improve your accuracy, but it will help you strike the ball a lot more solidly. This is an arm extension and weight shift combo, with an awareness of the clubface angle just after the impact position, which should be in the "toe-up" position. The clubhead should be moving "down the line."
The Method.
On the driving range, take your normal posture and pick a target to aim at. Next, do a half-backswing to about the 9 o'clock position. At this point, your weight should be slightly more on the back foot. Now shift your weight and swing the club through with the clubhead moving directly to the target. As the clubhead moves through impact, make sure the club's toe is rotating so that it finishes with the club's toe pointing skyward at about the 3 o'clock position.
