Three-Part Golf Workout - Fitness Friday #16.  Strength, Flexibility, and Balance Training!

As the year draws to an end in our Golf Video Blog series, new hope arises for a better new year.  Let's make next year a goal-setting year, with realistic practice and playing schedules.  This will lead us to lower our handicaps and enjoying this game. We all love a whole lot more!

So, here are some fitness and strength exercises to get your game in the right gear to start.  

An all-around good fitness program should include 3 elements. 

Strength.

Here it would be best if you were working with weights.  At the very least, dumbells.  Building muscle strength will help you hit the ball further and prevent injury from the golf swing if the framework is strong!

Flexibility.

The more flexibility exercises you do, the better.  Body mobility is critical.  The golf swing has a lot of moving parts.  They should all be in top working order!

Balance.

I have never seen a good golfer with poor balance.  Just swinging a club at home is great for your balance.  Swing about 100swigs a day to really see an improvement in your balance on the course!
