Watch as I explain the importance to Maintain Balance in Your Golf Swing

The demands of modern life make finding time for golf practice a delicate balancing act. However, Mel Sole's latest golf tip about maintaining balance through your swing doesn't take much time and is highly effective in this common area of needed improvement.

Most golfers lose their balance forward.  This is because the weight moves to the toes on the follow-through, and because the upper body is already leaning forward, the golfer loses their balance.  To cure that, make sure you clear your lead side rapidly through the hitting area, moving the weight to the heels of the front foot.  Perfect balance is the result.

Upper Body Balance.

When a Golfer loses their balance backward, they have come up out of their swing, and the spine angle straightens. As a result, all the weight is now on the heels of both feet, and the golfer will lose their balance backward.

The Cure.

Start by swinging a club at home.  Concentrate on keeping your spine angle and allowing your hips to clear to move the weight to the front heel.  Hold your pose for at least 5 seconds.

Once this swing feels comfortable and you can hold your balance every time with no ball, head to the range and start hitting some balls.  Again, pose for at least 5 seconds at the end of each swing.

On the golf course, do your practice swing and hold your balance.  Now step into the ball and swing away!
