Today Mel Sole will discuss the proper way to handle a blind pitch shot!  A great way of managing your round for success!

The big key here is knowing how far you have to fly the ball in the air.  So use your range finder to do a two-step process on finding the exact yardage to the flag, even though you cannot see it.

  1. Take your range finder and walk to the top of the hill.  Turn around and aim your range finder at the ball to determine how far the ball is from where you are standing.
  2. Then turn around a fire at the flag.

Add these two distances together to get the exact yardage from the ball to the flag.

Then decide, based on the softness or firmness of the green, how far you think the ball is going to roll.  Now you know exactly how far you need to fly the ball in the air.  If you followed my pitching videos, you should know exactly how to control the distance.  If not, see the related video below.
