Here, in our Golf Video Blog, we talk about the technical aspects of the swing and how that can help your game.  Today, we discuss the shoulder position at the address. Always make sure that the rear shoulder is lower than the leading shoulder.  This prevents that dreaded "over the top" move!  While in your address, place your hands together with the palm facing one another.  Now slide the palm of the lower hand down until it is in the correct position to grip the golf club.  You will notice that the rear shoulder is now lower than the front shoulder.  This will allow the shoulders to be square at the address and have a better chance of not having that over-the-top move!

The shoulders also need to be aligned with the feet and hips.  All three are important.  The most common is poor shoulder alignment.  When on the range, place an alignment stick across your shoulders and make sure they are parallel to the feet!
