Managing Emotions - Course Management #37.

Hi, I’m Mel Sole, Director of Instruction at the Mel Sole Golf School, headquartered at Pawleys Plantation Golf and Country Club in Pawleys Island, SC.  We conduct 1, 2 and 3-day golf schools, hourly golf lessons, and senior golf schools—any golf instruction program your heart desires. Give us a call at 800-624-4653 or 843-237-4993.  We will be happy to book a commuter school or a package that contains accommodations, golf, and golf school.

A Golf Video Blog with the Mel Sole Golf School.

I will discuss how it is important not only to manage the course but also to manage your emotions and tension out on the golf course.  By doing this, you will think more clearly and play better golf!

Getting mad on the golf course is all too common.  However, getting mad has never improved anyone's golf game! If that were the case, I would have been an excellent golfer in my youth!  If you get mad in front of your child, what are you teaching him?  I NEVER saw my father get mad on the golf course.  He was a thorough gentleman, and every member of my club admired him because of that.

I would always like to play golf with someone who was not a good golfer but never gets mad than someone who is a good golfer and does.  Bad behavior on the course puts everyone on edge, and I, for one, steer clear of people who are not fun to play with.  Think about that the next time you hit a bad shot!
