Changing to cross-handed (or left-hand low) putting has made a huge difference not only for myself but hundreds of golfers who, in the past, struggled with the shorter putts.  This might be what you have been looking for to take your putting to the next level!

I have always tended to have a breakdown of my lead wrist while putting. By switching to cross-handed, I stopped that tendency and improved my putting a lot.  There are several reasons cross-handed is worth a try.  If you stand and look in a mirror (face-on) and take your normal putting grip, you will notice that the shoulders point off to the left.  The moment your switch to cross-handed, the shoulders square up!

Second, the cross-handed grip automatically sets the lead wrist in a flatter position. If you incorporate a forward press (like Jordan Spieth) and keep the lead wrist bowed as you follow through, you will keep the clubface square throughout the putting stroke.  Start off working on 2 to 3 footers to get comfortable with the stroke before trying those tough 6 footers!
