When the ball is significantly above the feet, several things to consider before you attempt this shot.

The first thing you want to do is determine where you need to take your grip on the club.  Find a similar situation close by.  Have two or three practice swings, and pay attention to where the bottom of the arc is.  You want the club to be hitting the ground in about the middle of the stance.  If you are hitting too far back, you need to grip it a little shorter. If you are missing the ground, grip up a little more.  Once you notice that the club is making contact with the ground in about the middle, the next step is to aim slightly to the right. There will be a tendency for the shot to be pulled, so make an adjustment for that.

You need to practice this shot a few times to go through the process, so you are comfortable with this on the course!
