There are two essential aspects of this shot that differ from the standard bunker shot.  First, have the ball position more forward in your stance.  In my normal bunker shot, I position the ball directly off my lead heel.  Second, you want to widen your stance. This prevents body rotation and allows the clubhead to pass the hands through impact, adding even more loft.  A negative shaft lean through impact will turn a 60 degree Lob Wedge into about 64 to 66 degrees!

Because you are adding a lot more loft to the club, you obviously need to swing a lot harder.  So first, head out to the practice bunker and see exactly how hard you have to swing to get the desired distance.

If you desire even more height on your bunker shots, open the clubface at the address.  Make sure that when you open the clubface, you take your grip while the clubface is open.  The more loft you add to the club, the harder you need to swing.
