Today is Friday, and in our new series of Video Blogs, Fridays are for fitness!  How important is fitness to your golf game?  You have to look at the very best male and female golfers in the world to see that almost all of them work out.  The majority of golfers use a personal trainer so that their training is very golf-specific.  Today we talk warm-up and how to get your body ready to play before you tee off.  One of the things I do before I even start to hit balls is to stretch and then swing the Orange Whip to get all the big muscles ready to do their work on the golf course. At $109, this is one of the more expensive training aids but look on ebay.com. I found one for $41 yesterday.

I swing the Orange Whip for about 5 mins before I start hitting balls.  Start slowly, and slowly let the swing get longer and longer.  Then start to speed up the downswing.  You will feel the whip pull you through to a full follow-through stretching all the muscles in my back and chest.  Do not try and use the orange whip for increasing speed.  It's too heavy.  Rather use the SuperSpeedSticks!  They will give you more clubhead speed.
