I talk about how changing your technique could really help your game.  The secret is to know what to work on to accomplish this.  For the chips and pitches around the green, learn to use the bounce on the club's sole to prevent the club from sticking into the ground and coming up short of your target!

Make sure you work the club slightly on the inside with small pitches and chip shots.  If you take the club back outside the line, the angle of attack coming into the ball will be too steep, and the leading edge will strike the ground first and dig. You don't want that!

This is something you can practice at home on your lawn. Get the feel of the clubhead sliding through the bottom of the arc.  By having a few practice swings and paying attention to where the club is bottoming out, you can alter your ball position slightly to match the practice swing.  Easy Peasy!
