This is Tuesday and time for Teaching Aid Tuesdays! Today we talk about the Wrist TacTic. Like the Elbow TacTic that we spoke about last Tuesday, this makes an audible click when misused. You can use this in your full swing, pitching, chipping, and putting. A few minutes a day with this training aid will eliminate the lead wrist breakdown, which is a common flaw with many golfers.
This training aid helps the wrist position at the top of the backswing. If the wrist is not flat at the top of the backswing but cups at the top, the clubface will be open, and the golfer will either hit it straight right or slice. The training aid will help give the golfer feedback to keep the wrist flat at the top of the backswing.
This will also work with chipping or pitching—the same thing. The training aid will give an audible click to give the golfer the necessary feedback to correct the lead wrist's fault breaking down.
