There should be no swaying on the backswing or sliding forward too much on the downswing.  This will ruin both the power and the accuracy in the golf swing.  Disassociating the upper body rotation from the lower body stability is a key move.  Almost all the top players in the game make that move.   Our Fitness Expert Carolina Romero aka The Fit Golfer Girl specializes in golf-specific exercises that will benefit your overall golf game as well as maintaining a healthy lifestyle!  Follow every Friday with the Mel Sole Golf School Blog to learn fitness tips that will benefit your golf game and lower your scores!

A Single Leg Balance with Rotation.

This exercise teaches you how to rotate the upper body without getting your lower body involved. If you are a right-handed golfer, you are going to start by balancing on your right foot.  With your arms crossed over your chest and rotate towards your backswing side.  After a few reps, switch sides and repeat. This is going to teach you how to disassociate the upper body from the lower body.  And definitely help Get Rid of Swaying and Sliding During Your Golf Swing!
