I absolutely love driveable par 4's!  They bring out the gambler in me.  The challenge of a risk/reward shot.  Such satisfaction when you pull it off and drive the green, and sheer frustration when you make a bogey (or worse) on such an easy hole. In my stint as head professional at Humewood Golf Club, Port Elizabeth, South Africa, the 16th Hole was just such a driveable par 4, with trouble all around the green.  With both 15 and 17 par 5's, you had the opportunity to have 3 birdies in a row and finish strong.  Thanks to Joel Beall of Golf Digest for putting this list together!

This week the PGA Tour visits historic Riviera Country Club for the Northern Trust Open, home of one of the most exciting holes in golf: The par-4, 315-yard 10th. While the modern professional can hit a 3-wood 300 yards, Riviera's 10th is no cake walk. Called "one of the best 10th holes in major championship golf" by Jack Nicklaus, a shallow, tight green surrounded by bunkers can produce scores that submarine rounds. In honor of this classic hole, we look at the 10 best drivable par 4s on the 2016 golf schedule:

1. TPC River Highlands - 15th Hole

At less than 300 yards, this hole is an intriguing risk/reward at the Travelers Championship. Distance is not an issue for the players. The mounded green, lake on the left and sand on the right? That's a different tale.

2. Riviera Country Club - 10th Hole

You could take our word on the 10th's difficulty. But it's better if you just watch this video of Scott Piercy hitting four separate shots into bunkers during the 2015 tournament.

3.Kapalua Resort, Plantation Course - 14th Hole

At 305 yards and aided by wind from the left, the pros lick their lips when coming to Kapalua's 14th. Yet, while 43 percent of the field made birdie on this hole during the 2016 event, zero eagles were recorded against 10 percent taking bogey or worse.
