Today we talk about chipping, but not the usual chip shot, but with a hybrid.  Check out the benefits of using this club and add another shot to your arsenal!

When to use a hybrid around the green.

Use a hybrid when the grass is slightly longer than fairway length around the green.  The club will slide through that thick grass.

How to use a hybrid around the green.

You can play this shot in your chipping stance or your putting stance, whatever is more comfortable for you.  Practice both shots and see which one you prefer.

Use it as a putter.

Grip slightly down on the hybrid and get into your putting stance with your eyes directly over the ball.  Use your putting stroke, but it will lift the ball over fairway or fringe grass with the hybrid's loft and get the ball rolling on the green right away.  Hit it as hard as you would a putt of the same distance!
