Today we hear what Joey Diovisalvi says about the transition between backswing and downswing.  Making this awesome "athletic move" as you start the downswing will help not only gain distance (and who does not want that) but also aids with increased accuracy as it allows the clubhead to travel correctly "down the line" as you move through the ball.  Check this out here!

Put a fitness band or tubing around your ankles.  Take a driver and place the shaft across your chest.  Put your feet together.

Ready?

Take a step sideways with the rear leg into the flex position.  Turn the shoulders as far as you can on the backswing.  Bump the hips forward (the transition move) and fire through to a full follow-through with all the weight on the front foot and the rear foot up on the toe.  Do 5 sets, rest 30 seconds, do 5 sets, rest 30 seconds and do a final 5 more!  Wow, what a great exercise.

This one goes on my list of "must-do" exercises!
