All golf instructors emphasize the importance of lessons for your kids as soon as they start golfing. You don't want them to fall into bad habits, which often occur. I cannot stress enough how important it is for your child to get instruction from a golf professional right from the very beginning. They will have less frustration and are more likely to continue with the game!
Studies have shown that when children take lessons, 85% of them continued to become regular golfers. They made new friends at junior golf camps and enjoyed playing on the course with their parents.
10 year old 'Sienna' worked with PGA Teacher Rick Shiels for her first-ever lesson. Sienna had a decent backswing, but Rick had her put a little more shoulder turn into it. He also showed her how to shift her weight to the left into a full finish. The results? This child gained 90 yards at the end of the 20-minute lesson. WOW! See it here . . . .
