I will discuss how to maintain proper acceleration throughout the putting stroke and hold the finish to become a more consistent and better putter.

A pendulum moves back and through at the same back, both back and through.  This is the motion and speed you want in a putting stroke.  A pendulum swings back until it reaches the top, stops, starts to accelerate down until it reaches its maximum speed at the bottom, starts to slow down, stops at the top, and the process starts all over again.  That is the motion you want in your putting stroke.

You do NOT have to accelerate the putter through impact!  If your stroke is like a pendulum, the putter is already accelerating through impact.

Grip Pressure.

The grip pressure should be really soft.  On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being very loose and 10 being as tight as you can hold it, you putting grip pressure should be about a 2 or 3. That is when you will have the best feel.
