When it rains, the water will compact the sand. So playing out of a wet bunker needs a slightly different technique than a regular bunker shot.
The first thing is the angle of attack. This is the angle the clubhead comes into the ball. You do not want a steep angle of attack like you would have in a normal bunker shot. To achieve this, you need very little wrist cock. You want more rotation with the body, particularly the hips and chest. Ensure that when you have completed the shot, the weight finishes all the way through onto the lead foot. Your hips and chest end up facing the target. You definitely want to use the club's bounce, so I suggest using a lob wedge, as it has less bounce than a sand wedge. The higher bounce in a sand wedge might cause the club to "skid" into the ball, resulting in a skulled shot.
Because there is less wrist cock, the swing has to be slightly longer. This helps generate the clubhead speed needed for the clubhead to get through the sand.
