In our Golf Video Blog series, we have a Legend in the House! My childhood hero, Mr. Gary Player. Gary has been preaching fitness ever since I first met him in 1965. It has been my honor to play golf with Gary twice, and he has inspired me to live a life of fitness and healthy, organic eating.
On the week of his 80th birthday, all-time golfing great Gary Player showed the Butch Harmon School of Golf's Claudine Foong the secrets to a workout routine that still allows him to break 70 on a golf course.
Gary shows just how hard is core is by slapping his stomach with the palm of his hand. It sounds pretty solid. gary does 1300 crunches and situps 4 times a week. He feels that the feet has been neglected by golfers, and he does a lot of toe raises and a lot of legwork with a leg press in the gym.
He believes that you should exercise all your jints to make the body mobile and if you add speed to your workout, it will really benefit your golf game!
