Golfers, in general, pay much more attention to their address position with their driver and iron shots than they do in their putting address position.

Take your putting stance, extend your arms down to the ground and place your palms together.  Then rock your arms back and forth with a pendulum motion.  This is what your putting stroke should feel like.  Do you have a V in your putting stroke? The fewer angles you have in your arms, the more consistent your putting stroke will be.  Now take your putter, get your arms in a similar position, and feel the same rocking back and forth of the shoulders.  You want a fairly straight line between your lead shoulder and the putter head.

Because all putters have a loft, you want a slight forward shaft lean of the putter shaft at both the address position and at impact.  This will give the putt a nice topspin motion.  The roll of the ball will have less "skid" immediately after impact.

Get in front of a mirror or glass door where you can see a reflection of yourself. Check out your putting address position.  A good address position in putting is just as important as the rest of your game!
