You have to love golf a lot to play in the sizzling hot summer heat with temperatures up to around 100!  But here are a few things that can make it much more enjoyable! Check out this article by Golfers Jewels, who gives us the inside track in staying cool and hydrated in this summer heat!

We are all aware of the blistering heat that comes with the summer months.

While the summer heat might be enjoyable when you’re out on the beach, the same does not hold true when you’re on the course. It’s hard to beat a good day at the golf course when the temperature is approaching 100 degrees and you have an 18-hole foursome scheduled with your best pals.

Here are some tips to make summer an enjoyable time on the golf course.

Keep yourself hydrated.

Always bring a bottle of water with you to the golf course. If in case you forgot to bring one, make it a point to stop by the snack bar and buy yourself a bottle of water before the round. Drink some water before the game, and take a sip from time to time until the end of the round.

It might be tempting to buy a bottle of beer during the game, but please resist the urge to do so. Beer and liquor may contribute to dehydration.
