Today I will discuss how to hit your golf ball with three different trajectories on a pitch shot to control your golf ball in certain situations better.

Standard Pitch Shot.

Play the ball about 2" inside your lead heel.  Control the shot with your body rotation and not your arms. Weight is forward, and you should have about a 10-degree forward shaft lean.

High Pitch Shot.

Play the ball a little more forward in the stance.  This will reduce the forward shaft lean and produce a nice high-flighted shot that will land a lot softer.

Lower Pitch Shot.

When you play a pitch shot on a windy day, you want to keep the trajectory slightly lower.  Whether it is into the wind or in a crosswind, play the ball further back in your stance with about a 15-degree forward shaft lean.  Play the shot with your normal pitching motion.  The ball flight will be slightly lower.  This shot will usually run a little further once it hits the green.

Another perfect way to improve your short game around the green!
