Be creative with your practice. May 2018 Golf Tip!
Today is May 3rd, 2018 and we present Be creative with your practice. May 2018 Golf Tip. A monthly golf tip by Mel Sole, Director of Instruction and Master Professional at the Mel Sole Golf School headquartered at Pawleys Plantation Golf and Country Club in Pawleys Island, SC.
Be creative with your practice.
May is the start of the golfing season for most of the northern states in the USA and so it is time to evaluate your practice plan for 2018. Set yourself some golfing goals for the year. How much time are you going to dedicate to playing? How much time are you going to dedicate to practising? What is your handicap now and what would you like it to be at the end of your season? These are all questions you should be asking yourself right now.
Let 2018 be your year of improvement!
Start off the season by going to a golf school. You will learn so much more in a 3-day school than you will taking 10 one hour lessons. A golf school is going to work on all aspects of your game. Full swing, pitching, bunker shots, chipping and putting.
At the Mel Sole Golf School, we teach our students how to practice. Just hitting balls on the range does not necessarily improve your game. Learn to practice with a purpose each and every time you go to the range. I have always felt that if I go to the range for an hour and I leave the range the same level golfer as when I arrived, I have just wasted an hour of my time. Quantify your practice. Be creative with your practice. Play shots on the range that you face on the course but never work on at the driving range.
