Today, Lance Laws turn to help out as Mel Sole recovers from his shoulder surgery.   Mel will be out of action for at least three weeks and then on a day-to-day basis, depending on the recovery speed.

The reason you don't see any trace from use all day is green will bounce back in about 15 minutes from an impression from a footprint. Firmer greens really won't make much of a difference, but crouch down behind your ball and look at a line and then stand up and tell me you can't see the impressions from the balls of your feet where you were holding all of your weight.

90%+ of the time, someone walking won't make really any difference, or at least not one you can really see. There's also the risk of a spike mark if you drag your feet at all. That and it's just disrespectful.
