Poulter gets a 2-Year Exemption on the PGA Tour!

Today is April 2nd, 2018 and we present Poulter gets a Two Year Exemption on the PGA Tour! Monday Rewind #82.  A Golf Video Blog with Mel Sole, Director of Instruction and Master Professional at the Mel Sole Golf School headquartered at Pawleys Plantation Golf and Country Club in Pawleys Island, SC.

Poulter gets a 2-Year Exemption on the PGA Tour!

In the interview after his popular win, the interviewer reminded Ian that along with the invite to the Masters, Poulter gets a 2-year exemption on the PGA Tour.  I do not think he realized that! When you think of how close Poulter came to losing his card. If not for the intervention of Brian Gay’s wife, who found a discrepancy in the points calculation, which granted Poulter a point or two, he would not even be playing.  Now he has a great two years to look forward to plus this week the chance to play in the Masters and maybe win his first major!  Wow!

Lindberg gets her first Victory!

The LPGA’s first Major of the year The ANA Inspiration was at Mission Hills in California.  And three players tied for the lead at the end of regulation.  Inbee Park, Pernilla Lindberg and Jennifer Song.  Song was eliminated on the third playoff hole and Park and Lindberg played the 18th another 2 times, the last one in almost total darkness.  After another tie, they decided to come back on Monday morning a pick a winner!  In the end, Lindberg won on the eighth playoff hole, the longest in LPGA Major history!

Next week:  PGA Tour:  The Masters!  Who will take the coveted green jacket on Sunday?  Tiger, Dustin, Rory, Phil, Bubba, Jordan or Justin?  Or will it be another dark horse like Danny Willett two years ago?  Cannot wait!
