Rewind Monday #4. Video Blog with Mel Sole.

Today is October 3rd, 2016 and I bring you our Monday Rewind.  The Ryder cup was won by the USA but I was disappointed by two things.  1.  The runaway victory by the USA.  I was hoping for something a little more exciting, and 2. The behaviour of certain players I found deplorable.  Watch further to hear my comments!

Top 10 Amazing Shots to Close out a Victory on Tour! Love #6!

When I see players hole out for victory on the final hole of a PGA Tour event, I always have a tought for Greg Norman. Not for the 2 hole outs he made for victory, but the 4 made against him, two of them for Major Championships.   Swing by Swing and the PGA TOUR brings us 10 remarkable shots holed out for victory.

The Best and Prettiest Golf Swings. #2 is my favorite!

I always wanted to have one of the prettiest swings around!  When I was learning the game, I would get home from school and stand in the back yard and swing for hours trying to emulate Gary Player, who was my idol growing up!  Those hours of swinging stood me in good stead through the years.  Having a pretty swing does not necessarily translate into a good golfer, but boy it sure helps!

The Historic Face Off between Hogan and Snead at Houston CC.

This was going to be the match of the ages!  The free flowing "Slammin' Sam" against the technical machine of "The Hawk" conjured up memories of great rivalries of the past like the Red Sox and the Yankees!  Between them, they won 146 PGA Tour events and 16 Majors.  This is Mohammed Ali and Sonny Liston, ready to take the other man apart!  What I would have given to be there.  Thanks to Al Barkow for GOLF Magazine for bringing back the past . . .

Bubba Watson has Social Anxiety? This explains a lot!

Bubba Watson is seen berating his caddie one moment, and, after sinking the winning putt at a tournament, can be seen hugging and crying on his caddie's shoulder the next.  It comes as no surprise that Bubba is socially inept, and feels extremely uncomfortable in crowds and social situations.  That explains a lot.   I certainly have been one of Bubba's detractors when I see him behaving badly on the international stage, but this article by  Steve DelVecchio of Yardbarker . . .

Why is the World Golf Hall of Fame in Florida? Lets move it here!

How many more visitors would the WGHOF get if it was in St. Andrews?  And if we had the induction ceremonies during the Open Championship, every two years, when it is in Scotland, you would get a lot more PGA Tour and European Tour players attending the event. The status of the Hall of Fame would be elevated to something more than just a building with a few pieces of memorabilia in it. The WGHOF needs a revamp.  Here is  Joel Beall of learn about our VIP Program here »

Match a car to these PGA and LPGA players personalities! Love #4!

This is a fun article by Golf Swing by Swing to match up their personalities with current cars.  Every player on both the PGA and LPGA Tour has their own unique personality, so matching them up must have been a fun exercise.  I really like Rickie Fowler matching up with a Mustang - Boss 429.  Suits him perfectly!  What would you be?  My favorite car when I was younger was a Jaguar Mark 10.  Sleek and luxurious.  That's me!

The Shortest Tempers on the PGA Tour. Here are the Top 5!

I have seen my fair share of club throwers and club breakers, and in almost every occasion, the player feels slightly embarrassed after the deed, even if he/she doesn't act that way!  Losing your temper on the golf course is never pretty and it never accomplishes a thing! Here is a slideshow of PGA Tour golfers who fit this category.  Henrik Stenson was the one who really surprised me.  He always seems so cool, calm and collected.  I liked his toss, though.

Do Pro Golfers earn enough compared to other sports? Not even close!

How does golf stack up against the other sports when it comes to earnings?  We all tend to think that professional athletes from any sport, make tons of money, and they do.  Do you think that Pro Golfers need to be paid more?  If we look at the tennis players, it's not even close.  Professional golfers are underpaid compared to a lot of other sports.    Read what Golf Week and Alex Miceli  think about this!
