Many golfers don't realize just how much their body moves when putting. In this month's Mel in Motion video golf tip, Mel provides us with a helpful drill you can do on the putting green or at your home or office that will help minimize body movement and give you tremendous improvements with your putting stroke.

The Fault.

Too much lower and upper body movement during the putting stroke.  Most of my students don't even realize that they are moving.  Body movement is the biggest cause of missed putts.

The Cure.

Take a chair and place it behind you so that the back of the chair is resting against the back of your legs. Hit some putts and be aware of the pressure of the chair on your hamstrings.  If there is anybody's movement, you will feel it immediately.  The goal is to hot lots of putts and feels absolutely no movement whatsoever!
