How to Pack a Suitcase Efficiently for your next Golf Trip!

My wife starts planning her packing several days before we leave for a trip.  She puts items of clothing to one side (to make sure they are not worn before we leave) and she will systematically mark items off her travel list to make sure she does not leave anything behind.  I on the other hand, will pack an hour before I leave for the airport, throw things in a suitcase and inevitably arrive at my destination having forgotten several items.  Which one are you? Here is a really neat set of travel hacks brought to you by . . .

Check out Stunning Cabot Cliffs in Northern Nova Scotia!

Two golf course developers named Mike Keiser and Ben Cowan – Dewar combined their talents to produce not only Cabot Cliffs, but it's elder sibling, Cabot Links. They chose designers Rod Whitman for Cabot Links, and the now-famous team of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw designed Cabot Cliffs.

I've discovered while writing these posts that golfers enjoy seeing images of beautiful courses. I'm with them!  This post exposes you to the newly-opened (July 1, 2015) Cabot cliffs golf course in northern Nova Scotia in Canada . . .

I love great food and good restaurants.  Add a really good bottle of wine, and I'm in heaven!   I envy a journalist like Josh Sens who gets to try out all these restaurants and GOLF Magazine pays him to write about it.  Need an assistant Josh?  Joking aside, Josh does a great job of bringing us a taste, albeit one vicariously, of the best food in golf!  Next February I'll be playing in the Mizuno Pebble Beach Pro-Am, so I guess I'll be dining at Roy's at Spanish . . .

When playing in Scotland take a Caddie for an unforgettable experience!

The best caddie I ever had was at North Berwick in Scotland.  I was fortunate to get a European Tour caddie whose boss, Manuel Pinero, had taken the week off and his caddie was available.  On that day I saw what a difference a really good caddie can make in a round of golf.   I shot 68 that day.  Without the caddie, I would have scored at least 4 strokes higher.

There are very few courses left in the USA that offer caddies for hire. As many of us agree, it's a shame . . .

I absolutely love playing links golf!  Every year I take a group to either Scotland or Ireland or South Africa to experience links golf at it's finest. I was head professional at Humewood Golf Club in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, a true links course, about which the great Bobby Locke once said : "The British Open should be played here every year!"  Links golf gives you many options on playing a shot.  You can play . . .

Myrtle Beach, SC is the Best Place To Take Kids Golfing!

The headquarters of my 5 golf schools is in the heart of Myrtle beach, SC.  Called "The Golf Capital of the World." Myrtle Beach is a vacationer's dream.  There are so many things to do and the prices are extremely reasonable!  I am headquartered at Tupelo Bay Golf Center on the border of Murrells Inlet and Garden City, which has a great practice facility that is lighted at night until 10 pm.  It has an executive length golf course, a par 3 course, and a mini-putt.  The par 3 is also used for "Foot Golf" which . . .
