Brooks Koepka joins an Elite Group of Golfers!

I have only one word for Brooks Koepka who won the 100th playing of the PGA Championship at Bellerive CC in St. Louis, MO.  Solid!  Brooks played impeccable golf and never wavered in winning his 3rd Major Championship and joining Walter Hagen, Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods in winning the US Open and the PGA Championship in the same year.  It certainly shares rarified air!

The one word I have for Tiger Woods – Stunning!   Tiger did not disappoint, Brooks was just too good.  It was so thrilling to watch Tiger get that look in his eye when he knew he was close to winning his 15th Major, and the intensity was palpable!  I don’t know about you, but I was glued to my TV the entire time!

Adam Scott, Stewart Cink, Jon Rahm and Thomas Pieters all had their chances. Scott and Pieters were tied at the top at one time or another, but just could not close the deal.  Scott’s par, bogey finish on the last two holes will haunt him for some time.  He had his fingertips on the Wanamaker Trophy, but it was not his time!
