Paula's Drill.

Keeping the putter head low through impact gives the ball a smoother roll and prevents hitting the ball on the upswing, which can get the ball slightly airborne on long putts. Watching the Women's British Open this weekend, I saw a slow-motion replay of a putt that hit slightly on the upstroke.  The ball did not start the forward roll for about 9 inches!  Paula Creamer has been a consistently good putter on the LPGA Tour for several years.  She brings us a great drill to teach yourself to keep your putter low to the ground through impact, along with Golf Digest!

Paula Creamer offers advice for good contact and predictable speed.  To avoid pulling up on short putts and hitting them weakly, practice putting with only your right hand while your left hangs straight down.
