During the WGC Match Play event against Hunter Mahan, Jason Day had a day just like most of us have regularly. Just not in synch! A bad bunker shot, a bad tee shot, a bad shot out of the rough, a nasty putt right off the green, and a shot from a bad lie in the rough to a terrible lie in the rough another side of the fairway. Time to go to the clubhouse and have a beer!
In my experience, when your game goes off-kilter, it is because you are getting a little bit too mechanical. It would help if you got into what I call "The Clear Key," A mantra that eliminates all mechanics from the conscious mind. That what Jason Day needed that day!
