Celtic Manor 2005.
The 1st ever World Trick Shot Championship was held at Celtic Manor in Wales in 2005. Players from all over the world came to play against each other and see who could develop the most outlandish trick shots.
There were 11 competitors, including Peter Cane of Great Britain, Paul Barrington of Great Britain, and Peter Jahncke of Sweden. Paul Barrington won the contest. According to announcers Adger Brown and Mark Roe, the two keys that the judges look for are the entertainment value and the quality of the strike of the golf ball.
I do not know if there was a 2006 version. Does anybody know? What country was it held in? Post your comments below.
