I really enjoy the groups of pals that come to my golf school.  They leave their daily lives behind, laugh a lot, play numerous courses, eat wonderful meals, needle each other, and . . . . repeat the next day.  Lastbash.com has put together a list of courses for people who would love to go on a golf vacation with those same friends, which would have a great time!  Important components of a memorable golf trip include the golf course's quality, the accommodations, and extra amenities.  I've had the good fortune to play many of these.
