The academy was launched in 1989 in by South African PGA Tour veteran Mel Sole, a Golf Digest and GOLF Magazine Top Teacher, and Phil Ritson, former coach to Gary Player and mentor to David Leadbetter.
The year-round Golf School features 1-3 day schools, alumni programs, group clinics, private hourly lessons and Parent/Child programs. Class size is limited to four students to ensure plenty of individual attention. Unlike most golf schools, students are not moved from instructor to instructor for chipping, cutting, iron play, etc. Each class stays with its own instructor throughout all parts of the full swing and short game, and the resulting rapport and continuity means maximum improvement. Golf School facilities include a private driving range, two putting greens, a bunker, plus chipping and putting areas.
