Last Weeks World Tour News.

World Tour News for the week of February 3rd through 8th, 2018

Today is February 12th, 2018 and we present Last Weeks World Tour News – Monday Rewind #75.  We start with the PGA Tour and the very popular victory for Ted Potter Jr. He starting the final day tied for the lead with Dustin Johnson.  It was Johson who struggled and not Potter.  Ted reminds me of Jason Dufner with his unflappable demeanour that never seems to get too high or too low.  It would be an interesting pairing in the future!  Congrats Ted. Let’s hope there is more where that came from!

The winner of the pro-am tournament was Kevin Streelman and Larry Fitzgerald, former Arizona Cardinals Wide Receiver. They with a score of 41 under to win by 7 shots.  Great play gentleman!

The European Tour

The European Tour was in Australia in the west coast city of Perth for the ISPS Handa World Super Six Perth.  54 holes of stroke play and then the final 24 players play a series of match play over 6 hole stretches.  Kiradech Apibarnrat beat James Nitties in the final.  Kiradech played great the whole week and this was a well-deserved victory.

The Champions Tour

The Champions Tour played in the Boca Raton Championship at The Old Course at Broken Sound Club. Bernhard Langer surprised everyone by bogeying the last two holes to let Mark Calcavecchia sneak in for an exciting victory.

There was no LPGA Tour tournament this week but there will be one next week in Adelaide, South Australia for the Australian Women’s Open. All the top LPGA players will be competing.

The PGA Tour plays the Genesis Open at Riviera CC just outside of Los Angeles. Tiger Woods makes his second appearance on the PGA Tour for 2018, and the Europen Tour moves to Oman for the NBO Oman Open.  Check out the video below.
